DEFINATION

From Wikipedia,

Neoplasm (from ancient Greek ?e?- neo-, "new" + p??sµa plasma, "formation", "creation") or tumor[1] is an abnormal mass of tissue as a result of abnormal growth or division of cells. Prior to abnormal growth (known as neoplasia), cells often undergo an abnormal pattern of growth, such as metaplasia or dysplasia.[2] However, metaplasia or dysplasia do not always progress to neoplasia. The growth of neoplastic cells exceeds, and is not coordinated with, that of the normal tissues around it. The growth persists in the same excessive manner even after cessation of the stimuli. It usually causes a lump or tumor. Neoplasms may be benign, pre-malignant (carcinoma in situ) or malignant (cancer).

In modern medicine, the term tumor means a neoplasm that has formed a lump. In the past, the term tumor was used differently. Some neoplasms do not cause a lump. Cancer is a form of malignant neoplasm.

COMPUTER RESOURCES AND WIRELESS

Free wireless access to the Internet via wireless fidelity or "Wi-Fi" is available
Patrons may access the Internet via "hot spots" at the library using their own laptop computers or Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). Patrons need to provide their own equipment, but do not have to use any special codes or passwords to access the Internet. They can simply turn on their laptop or PDA to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
The Wi-Fi connection is operational whenever the libraries are open. While using this service inside the libraries, patrons must adhere to the same BPL computer and Internet policy as those using Library computers. In addition, the Library recommends Wi-Fi users take appropriate security precautions when using this service.
